A cry for help
(Audience participation required)
I have a friend, who is in need of a little help.
You see, he has a malnourished ego, and is somewhat convinced that xanga eprops will sustain him.
I mean, just look at this entry! It’s a friggin’ cry for help! For the love of Aunt Jemima, people, show him some love.
And if you’re a lady, your eprops will count double.
He’s really a nice guy. A nice, tall, Christian guy. And just to throw this out there, he’s single and looking for love…
…looking for love in all the wrong places…
So, you know me and how I am always out to save the world? Here I am, saving one lonely, single man at a time.
(…Or maybe, I’m just doing what no nation has ever been able to do and survive – starting a prank war on two fronts.)
Please, go check out my little buddy here and give him some eprops. You dont even have to say anything (nice). Two eprops will do.
Thank you.

RYC: “Ooh, I’m humbled. In a very inside, not-so-funny Bible joke, the man with many sheep will now stop asking for the poor man’s lamb. (II Samuel 13? ish or so, I’m guessing on chapter. Nathan’s story).” was what I said on my site. Now, though, yes, you indeed have started a war on two fronts. Chris Russo and I will be busily finding ways for you to become the 4th man in a 3 man dept. at work, having David Wright call you and garble the last two digits of his phone number so you can call all 99 possibilities, and otherwise make your life miserable on a MACRO scale. With his hair and my neediness, how can we lose? hee-hee. I hope you remember this when the only Internet access you afford comes from the local public library (evil laughter) :-p
^ good golly, I’m scared!
well, you know the rules: Keep it to xanga, no property damage, and make sure we all have fun. I’m expecting us to still be friends when this is all over.
Evil Chris Russo! I’m enlisting you to my help. Ally with me against this axis of…weird. We can bring down your alter ego just as you’ve always wanted. hahaha
went there. gave my comment and props. now you owe me a favor in return which I will ask for in the near future…
Evil Chris Russo! Join us and form a trinity of mischievous the world has yet to see! :-p And with that, I take a break for the week from Xanga, which is eating my life faster than Tom Cruise eats umbilical cords. Just think about that one, Alban. Just the start, man, just the start…
^^ I owe you one Frank. Thanks for leaving eprops for my needy friend.
^John,…ugh… that was so gross and unnecessary… was that your way of “pranking” me? gosh.
Hey !
Umm…honestly I don’t really remember what *exactly* sparked my interest in the Islamic world. After everything with 9/11 happened and that area was getting more and more attention directed towards it, I realized how poorly a lot of women there were treated. I decided I wanted to at some point go be a medical missionary and work with women and children. Give them care they may not recieve from male doctors because of their “lower status”. Then last year I was doing an ob/gyn rotation and while i was working in the clinic at LIJ Hospital (don’t know if you’re familiar with the area here on Long Island) I noticed there was a strong Arabic population even here on the island that lacked health insurance and really good ob/gyn care. And a lot of them didn’t want to see a male doctor, or weren’t allowed to be seen by one. Soooo, I thought it would be in my best interest to start to learn the language and some of the culture in order to be able to really work with them. Also, from a Christian standpoint, I wanted to really understand what makes their beliefs different from my own so that I could effectively share and minister to them. You know? I’m going to Egypt after Christmas to travel the country visiting mother/baby clinics and assisting them by doing physical exams, teaching public health topics (hygiene, simple good health practices, nutrition, etc…), and I even get to work with some teenage/pre-teen girls in their after school reading club! And of course whatever else the local churches/missionaries need. Should be fun! We’ll see what happends from there. I don’t really think i’ll move anywhere for good (at least not for a long while..i have a lot of school left still) but I know God’ll keep pointing my heart wherever it’s supposed to go. I’d love to go visit a ton of other places as well..morocco, sudan, turkey, lebabanon, iraq, iran, saudi arabia, jordon, afganistan, etc… But one day at a time, no?
And I just always get the feeling that there’s some secret door in the china buffets that lead you to these really huge ritzy conference rooms where crazy chinese people plan international crime schemes and all sorts of mega drug-trafficing. Ever seen Rush Hour? I think that’s what convinced me. Plus, they all seem to be decorated the same, with the tacky fish tanks and clear glass decor. Like they are all part of some big Asain Buffet union. Maybe i’m just paranoid
Sorry that was so rediculously long!
you guys are funny~~
A prank war on two fronts…this is funny to watch, even when I don’t know the people involved.
The best part of all this is that that’s a picture of me that my dear brother GreekPhysique took after he gave me a literal knuckle sandwhich–he thought I was making it for him and was disappointed to learn I was not planning to share my food.
naughty!
Good golly, Alban, good luck! It sounds like you have forces united against you! Whoever gets EvilChrisRusso on his side might well also be able to enlist CrossEyedSauron and jalix3.
threw out some freebie eprops.
Just for the reader’s record, I’m not the guy who saves pictures of his web-site traffic for the day (http://photo.xanga.com/Bokgwai/fceb464219435/photo.html). :-p
^Haha. Good point. That was a post I never finished. The two spikes you see are
1) The flood pictures
2) The pictures of Mets pitching prospect Mike Pelfrey
The post was supposed to be about how disaster and entertainment sell stories. Clearly, since I have moved away from disaster and sports, my site traffic has gone way down.
Soon enough the Mets should give you something to write about in that genre…ha, yes, I dull my pain with the eProps of erstwhile commenters directed to my site by you. In the meantime, check your sitemeter…it may show rather frequent visits to your photo section. Sheesh, Alban, you are a Photoshop dream back there. It’s too easy–I don’t even feel like doing it anymore.
come now John. You can’t give up already. I’m looking forward to having fun… which is what this is really all about. Public embarrassment is just extra. I’d like to see what you can do with the photos. I wouldn’t have left them up there for you, especially after our conversation last night (and Chris Russo’s rebuttal last week), if I didn’t want to see what you guys could do. So as long as you have a good time, and I have a good time, and all the ladies get a few chuckles, I think it’s win-win.
Don’t worry, Alban. What with a two-front war going on, your site will be about disaster again soon enough…
Oh, and EvilChrisRusso and I have been discussing, over the diplomatic table and under flag of truce, who shall play what role in this war. I’m sorry to say that, since he is clearly the superior prankster of our duality, he will be planning any pranks I do, while I carry them out. We’re actually working as one unit here, something that hasn’t happened since I was sixteen.
oh man. Three on one? this looks like it’s about to go horribly, horribly wrong.
I must appeal to jalix3 and crosseyedsauron, or I’m completely done for.
our list of allies grows thin…
I think it might defeat the purpuse of posting to your xanga, but your friend kinda of looks like Jim Carey in that shot. He gets 2 eprops from me.
