Do You See What I’m Saying
Me: Can you help me find an article that I read a few months back?
Coworker 1: Sure, what was it about?
M: It’s about this study they did to show how Asian people and American people see the world differently.
Coworker 2: In what way?
M:
Well, the study shows that Americans will take in the most active
element they see and focus on it, whereas Asians will look at the whole
picture and describe how all the parts interrelate with each other.
C2: Are you colorblind?
M: Uhh… what? What are you talking about? What makes you think I might be colorblind?
C2: Well, you were saying how Asians and Americans see things differently.
M: Yeah, but did you hear what I was actually saying about how they look at a picture?
C2: Yeah, I know, I was just wondering if you were colorblind.
C1: No, he just dresses that way.
<Pause to check what I’m wearing>
M: Oh my gosh, this is totally going up on my Xanga.Well, all monkeys do what they see

Classic. Just classic.
crazy asians. while you are worried about the background and harmony, that leopard in the foreground would tear you to shreads =)
Hahahahahahaha. Looks like it’s time for a new wardrobe. Maybe then they’ll actually listen to you instead of focusing on the most active element they see, which is apparently whatever you’re wearing. LoL.
haha yeah.. but I tend to like sleeping rather than snow ball fights :-p
that’s ok about the quiz. i didn’t expect xanga people to do too well. i did horribly on my friend’s quiz, 10/100. so bad. and i should know her.

Hey Alban,
That’s true about the body hair thing, it’s just backwards, haha. As for guitar, I’ve been playing for about 3 years now, I play and listen to mostly rock kind of stuff, but I like some slower stuff as well.

Oh, and I absolutely agree with what you said about cliques in church and stuff, we’ve been talking a lot about that stuff at youth group.

I am soo in the same situation.. and if I think this is so good.. then why dont I follow it myself?” Dont mind me.. Im rambleing again. But once again thank you… I hope you get through this easily.. and dont be so hard on yourself eh?
