Sunset hunter
It is no secret that I love the sunsets. Here are my latest spoils.

Binghamton is more beautiful than you thought…
Who’da thunk? God is everywhere…(I
rushed out of work today hoping to catch a picture at a location I
discovered today during my lunch break. These pictures are
virtually undoctored. They are only cropped, guided by the advice
of my ever-patient housemate, even as I interrupted his work over and
over again. Thanks Dave! You’re a sweetheart… hahaha)These are posted here for the glory of God, for your enjoyment, and for any advice that the experienced can offer. Please, teach me more…
…
It
is a wonderful feeling to be reminded of God’s goodness. Even
moreso, it is heartwarming to remember that God is both lovingly
intimate and majestically regal at the same time.Jeremiah 23:23,24
23 “Am I only a God nearby,”
declares the LORD,
“and not a God far away?24 Can anyone hide in secret places
so that I cannot see him?”
declares the LORD.
“Do not I fill heaven and earth?”
declares the LORD.I see the fingerprint of God on the faces of those I love, and yet I
can still see these same fingerprints on the entirety of all creation
that I am privy to enjoy. Simply amazing.Have you forgotten? Have you forgotten that God is all around
you? He is working in your roommate, your dininghall worker, your
professor, and even you. He has a master plan, and you have not
been left out. He is right here with you. In Binghamton, NY
no less. I know it is hard to believe sometimes, but take a look
around you. Our God, our great God, is everywhere, and He is
especially here, right now, with you.

it’s only during autumn/winter that the sky brings out those orange-y & deep deep blues that are so captivating.
the other day, i was standing on the 7 train going to work and got a chance to glance out the window at the sunrise– and i realized i haven’t seen the sky (and been able to enjoy it!) in a very long time. i was so sad when we went underground…. gosh! i miss buffalo (oh, i went to buffalo, not rochester, haha), and i’m sure bing has a sky or two just like the ones i remember.
so u’re a photographer, eh? more pics, please!
sweet pics
Marvellous! Which river is that?
It’s actually a little reservoir I discovered up on the hill at the end of Reynold’s Road. I passed by it on my lunch break yesterday as I was wondering around exploring.
that baseball field pic is great. such focus on that shot!!
it seems like a scene from that movie.. uh. field of dreams? hehe.
Fabulous shot! Well done!
RYC: Actually, I haven’t ever had a face to face with P. Craig… So often after chapel or a truly encouraging message I would turn to a classmate and exclaim how thrilled I was with the message…and in response would hear how poorly the message had made them feel. & I just felt miserable that they missed ever being genuinely encouraged by the Word. (…no wonder they want to go shopping or watch a movie to relax and not Spend time with Him) But recently have noticed myself feeling badly about the promises of God, because I am just so wretched. & I got all caught up in thinking about it. I had heard Mrs. Moore talk about pride before…not just the typical I love myself pride, but feeling unlovely and seeking unattainable approval, pride. & the rest emerged from there. I guess I won’t publish my book on this thought…since P. Craig came up with it first!!! haha.
Thanks for your testimony and comments. & OMGoodness, I love your photographs!
nice shots of sunsets. i like photography, and i like sunsets, too. great job.

^ dianna is one of my favorite eFriends. & a ribbon winning photographer…check out her site if you haven’t already!
RYC: Thanks for your encouragement on the poem…not a strong point for me. I wrote it to answer one of the questions for my Bible study group…and I read it tonight & was really embarrassed. So It was nice to come back to such favorable comments! Thanks. Jes
jes is so sweet. but, really, if you have questions about photography, i’m not a professional or anything but i do read a lot about it and i’m always trying stuff. i really like the reflections in your sunset pictures. i think that really makes the picture.

hi alban, nice to meet you, i’m dianna.
i checked out the other picture you sent. very nice. i also like the simplicity of the mountain (? hill?) in the picture. with the reflection, it almost makes it abstract, sort of. if you ever have any questions, it won’t hurt to ask. can’t promise an answer always since i don’t have formal training or anything like that. most of the time, i’m just lucky.
the picture on my background is one i took this past year at the local arboretum.

Hey! thanks for the comment. And I agree with what you are saying. I do believe that I should be content with my performance if my audiance enjoyed it. But you know how it is when you feel like since you know what everything is supposed to sound like that everyone else around you knows what the whole thing is supposed to sound like. its all frustrating!! haha.. but yes.. Since music is basically my life, I do get a little edgy when things arent as I think they should be. Thanks again!
